The consultancy that tells you
when not to automate.
Structure before speed. Clarity before automation.

How Ordinal started.
Ordinal was born out of a shared frustration.
Pierre, Monica, and Geoffrey were working across different industries, different companies, different countries. But they kept running into the same thing: teams spending most of their time on work that required no real thinking. Repetitive coordination. Processes nobody had ever properly mapped. Tools bought before anyone understood the problem.
So before building anything for anyone else, they started with themselves. Mapped their own workflows. Documented what actually happened, not what was supposed to happen. Time came back before a single automation was live. That was the proof.
Ordinal exists to give that same clarity to founders and operators running complex companies. No overselling. No methodology theatre. Diagnosis, structure, and automation that the team actually uses.
Operations, but understood.
Automation, but earned.
Process mapping, but honest.
No assumptions. No skipped steps. Every workflow documented as it actually runs, not as it was designed to run.
Automation, but deliberate.
Only after the process is clean. Nothing is automated until it is understood. That sequence is non-negotiable.
Ownership, not dependency.
Every system built is meant to be run without Ordinal. If a client still needs the team six months later, something went wrong.
How we think
and how we work.
Understand before acting
Diagnosis is the work, not a formality before it.
Honest over comfortable
Say what is not working. That is part of the job.
Build for independence
The goal is always for clients to run it without us.
Calm over urgency
Getting the diagnosis right saves more time than moving fast on a wrong premise.
Sovereignty by default
Clients should own their stack, not be held by it.
Progress over perfection
A working process today beats a perfect document that ships never.
Remote-first. Multicultural.
Moving with intention.
We are a remote-first company with a distributed team across Europe.
The team behind Ordinal.
